i was all set for the after work session today, maybe sneaking away sharpish. But then Tim phoned me just after 2 and said he was all alone at Hot Pipes and it was shaping up and thats my nearest spot and it would kill me to miss it. So I wrapped up what I was doing, set a few wheels in motion and belted down by 2:15. Great session followed, out quick on the 4.5m and got the best of the higher tide waves before the rip got to it on the inside. It was still a lot of fun though with proper waist high swell (average) and swoops a plenty. Good for jumps, including one table top that felt like my knee was getting dislocated. chuffed. Pushed on til 5pm, suit and tie back on, into the office for a quick bit of 'face time' as everyone else was heading out the door. perfect.
